Every four years at council election time, the long suffering Monash ratepayers are subjected to a tirade of shallow promises, innuendo, deception and lack of transparency to support two ALP edicts - get in and stay in.
Over the past four years the residents of Mulgrave ward have been represented by three councillors who blindly answer to the faceless Labor Party machine. One, Cr Klisaris doesn’t even live in the City of Monash, he resides in Malvern in the City of Stonnington. He runs a government subsidised business in Oakleigh and owns properties in Oakleigh and Hughesdale. One could be very certain this councillor doesn’t understand the trials and tribulations of daily life in the Mulgrave Ward.
As a former deputy mayor and Mulgrave ward councillor who gave back to my local community my entire councillor’s allowance of $51,000 by way of school library books for more than 20 local schools I am dismayed these ALP hacks are constantly voted back in.
We all know what is happening federally where gross financial mismanagement are the order of the day by the ALP government. Why would Monash Council be isolated? We aren’t: there is the $14 million unfunded staff superannuation, a multi-million dollar car park in Waverley that is mostly unused and many more financial fiasco’s.
Wake up fellow Mulgrave ward residents and neighbours, vote this non-Monash resident last.
