CLAYTON midfielder Aaron Purvis won the Southern Football League division 1 best and fairest award on Friday night. Purvis, a forward turned midfielder, scored the honour in his first season, polling 24 votes ahead of St Paul's Andrew Gilbert on 23.
The Clays scored a win in the division 1 reserves best-and-fairest awards with Tim Collins scooping up the honour.
Clayton's night was completed when it had three members picked in the SFL 20-year team. Davor Rajic and Matt Gallagher were named in the side and George Jones named assistant coach.
Corey Pearce took the gong for leading goal kicker in the division 1 reserves competition.
