POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an explosion caused minor damage to an Oakleigh East telephone box early on Saturday.
Witnesses saw a dark car stop at the Huntingdale Road telephone box just before 1am.
Police believe a man got out of the car and placed a home-made bomb inside the telephone box.
The car sped away east along State Street just before before the blast.
