THE time 26 minutes, 31 seconds will forever live in Oakleigh Chargers folklore.
It was the moment the Chargers claimed the TAC Cup premiership by golden point over Gippsland Power on Saturday.
Under TAC Cup rules, grand finals are decided by golden point, with the siren being held off until someone scores.

Chargers coach Justin Wenke had briefed his players on this rule leading into the match and while some observers wouldn't have known otherwise, the Chargers knew that once 24 minutes had passed that the next score could win the match.
And so it came to star midfielder-forward Jackson Macrae to lead the Chargers to victory as they found him in space in the forward pocket with more than 26 minutes gone in the quarter.
Macrae steadied himself, using his extra space to line up his shot, then kicked for goal.
The ball floated across the goal, just moving past the right goalpost before teammate Jack Billings made sure the ball was pounded over the line for a point.
A few anxious seconds followed as the point was confirmed, then the siren rang out.
The Chargers, who began the finals in sixth place, leapt for joy, the Power fell to the ground.
Macrae, who won the medal as best on ground, praised his teammates and Wenke for their efforts. "I didn't want to over-kick it or anything and put it out on the full," he said. "My heart was in my mouth for sure, it just snuck through, thank god. It was awesome."
The game could have been much different for the Power, who came from behind to lead by two goals deep into the final term before Ned Walmsley marked in the goal square and quickly converted with 22 minutes gone, then Billings marked 40 metres out but instead of shooting for goal, found Tim Macmillan 30 metres out, straight in front.
Macmillan converted his pressure shot to tie the game.
Wenke said he had put his best players such as Macrae further forward in the final minutes.
"You want your best players around the football," he said.
"Jacko was spent so we pushed him forward. He is the type of player who finds space and is tricky around goal so we wanted him in that slot."
The Chargers team featured no players from the previous year's losing grand final side, further showing the club's ability to reload.
