PHYSIOTHERAPY practice Back In Motion Clayton is dedicating a day to work for others.
The annual Work4Significance® Day event is a key fundraising initiative of the SOS Health Foundation, with a donation of profits from health practitioner’s takings on Tuesday, September 3.
The SOS Health Foundation is a non-profit public benevolent organisation which focuses on engaging a range of health care professionals and raising funds to support health services, practical assistance and relief to those in need in urban and remote Australia.
Funds from this year's event will help assists SOS in establishing its first Pro Bono physiotherapy clinic in the Melbourne CBD, partnering with the ‘Salvation Army Melbourne Project 614’.
The clinic, to be staffed by volunteers from Back In Motion and other healthcare practitioners, will provide a range of physiotherapy and health services to those who are living on the fringes of society – the homeless, those at risk of becoming homeless or suffering from social poverty.
Back In Motion Clayton Practice Director, David Spithill said: "Our clients are able to take part by booking an appointment on Work4Significance® Day knowing that the full fees of their treatment will go towards a worthwhile cause”.
