Volunteers are desperately needed for this year's Starlight Day to raise $1.5 million to help seriously ill children. The event, run by the Starlight Children's Foundation, is aimed at raising $1.5 million for seriously ill children. The foundation needs 5000 volunteers to collect donations and sell merchandise at shopping centres and railway stations across the nation between Thursday, May 2, and Sunday, May 5. All the money raised will go to sick children and their wellbeing. "Volunteers are vital to Starlight's ongoing work. Whether it's hitting the streets and raising awareness...(or delivering) fun and excitement to kids in hospital...Starlight volunteers make magic happen," says Starlight chief executive Louise Baxter.
