Mums take a shot at tennis

GLADESWOOD Reserve Tennis Club will host a five-week Mums' Program starting on February 20.

The Mulgrave-based club has made the group tennis sessions available to all women no matter their level of playing experience or age.

The club also has a Tiny Tots program for children aged 3-5 that is based on learning basic ball and motor skills and will run at the same time as the mums' sessions.

Gladeswood coach Marcos Ahumada said the club provided all the equipment needed.

Players will also be grouped with those who have similar skills.

"We will provide everything," he said. "All the players need to do is wear comfortable, athletic clothes and runners."

He said the program cost $35 for five weeks of group coaching while each child put in the Tiny Tots will cost $15 each.

Gladeswood Reserve Tennis Club is based at Maygrove Road, Mulgrave. For more information or to book in, call Ahumada on 0413569296.
