Monash University fails to impress

22 Sep, 2008 11:51 AM
MONASH University has lost to Harlequins 21-7 in the grand final of the Victorian Rugby Union B-grade premiership. In warm conditions, Monash had the majority of possession in the first half but failed to put enough points on the board.

At the major break, Monash was level with the minor premiers at 7-7. Harlequins capitalised on their opportunities in the second half and powered away in the end. Monash coach Dave Bradbury and try scorer Charles Akarura were best on ground.
