Monash Uni's efforts in vain

21 Jul, 2008 11:17 AM
MONASH University started its lightning competition campaign with 15-26 loss to Power House on Saturday.

Power House had knocked Monash Uni out of the regular season in a semi-final three weeks earlier. This was a much-improved display from Monash.

The backs combined well with centre pairing Charlie Akarura and Alex Lindros scoring a try and earning votes. It was around the rucks that Power House won the game; Monash struggling to combat a strong pick-and-drive and counter-rucking game. Monash hosts Cerberus this week and aims to win the President's Cup.
