HERE we are in sunny Queensland, certainly a change in weather compared to Melbourne on the last few days before we left.
It was a big week for the team leading into the Ipswich 300, especially with the news that GBGalvanizing had joined us as a major sponsor.
Based in Bayswater and Dandenong, GBGalvanizing is another family owned company to join us, which is becoming a bit of a niche for us.
The event in Ipswich is an interesting one, with all teams using the sprint tyres.
Track times will be low with better grip on the circuit and I don't think there will be much separating the top 20 cars.
Our early times were good and, with sixth fastest heading into qualifying, I'm hopeful of being inside the top half of the field again, perhaps even top 10.
Back at home, we are only a week away from the first of our school visits to speak with students about road and driver safety. More on that next week.
For now, as I sit here writing this, it's a quick coffee and then out to the track for what will hopefully be a successful day for Centaur Racing.
