Romantic prize up in the air

12 Apr, 2010 11:47 AM
A ROMANTIC helicopter flight over Melbourne while watching the sun go down and sipping champagne with your partner can be won by a lucky racegoer at Sandown's Betfair Park at the Greater Dandenong Race Day on Saturday, April 24.

This adventure can be won by filling out the coupon in the race book and putting it into the entry box at the race day office.

The flight takes off from Moorabbin airport before sunset and returns at sunset.

The free race day - now being held for the seventh year - is a partnership of the Greater Dandenong Chamber of Commerce, the Melbourne Racing Club and the City of Greater Dandenong.

It has been organised by the Greater Dandenong Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the Melbourne Racing Club, sponsored by the council and supported by The Journal.

The feature event will be the running of the City of Greater Dandenong Cup, and trophies handcrafted from native wood will be presented to the winning owner, trainer, and jockey.

Last year's winner was Maxisun.

Confirmed race sponsors for the day are: The Journal, the council, ESP Tecforce, and the Greater Dandenong Chamber of Commerce.
