Glen Waverley, Uniting keep unblemished record

ONLY two teams remain undefeated in the Menzies Shield following the completion of round three.

Glen Waverley dominated Toorak-Prahran to win by 102 runs in the first innings. Glen Waverley lost just four wickets while amassing 4-267, thanks largely to Chris Green (104 not out) and Damian Sheean (79no).

Mt Waverley Uniting is the other unbeaten side, although its victory over Trinity was less impressive. Chasing just 84 for a win, Uniting had lost eight wickets before securing first innings points.

In other games in the top grade, Notting Hill-Brandon Park had to rely on an 18-run last-wicket partnership to secure the points against Glen Waverley Cougars. Reigning premier Mt Waverley Catholics recorded its first win of the season, narrowly defeating Oakleigh District Footballers.
