Glen Waverley faces hefty chase

GLEN Waverley Hawks paceman Matty Briginshaw took six wickets against Nunawading on Saturday.

The Hawks had the opposition crashing to 3-42 off 14 overs before debutant David Johnson came on and took his first seniors wicket.

Nunawading fought back from 5-114 to reach 295.

Briginshaw was the best of the bowlers, with 6-42 off 19.2 overs.

The seconds also face a substantial run chase after Nunawading scored 7-281.

The best of the bowlers was Malon Ratnayeke, who was playing his first game in the seconds, with 2-53, and Partrick Eldridge (2-66).

The thirds were dismissed for 180 by Heatherdale, with Glenn Powell top scoring with 58. In reply, Heatherdale is 4-59 with Shane Vanin taking 3-28

The one-day side dismissed Blackburn for 166.

In reply, the Hawks were 4-24 but recovered well to finish on 9-168.
