WITH one game remaining in the Southern Cricket League season, Glen Waverley cemented top spot on the Menzies Shield ladder and remain undefeated following their victory over reigning premiers Mt Waverley Catholics on Saturday.
Defending 112, the Glen bundled out their opponents for 71 and denied Mt Waverley Catholics any hope of defending their title.
Chadstone Harlequin defeated Glen Waverley Cougars outright and has jumped to third spot, while Mt Waverley Uniting's win over the Cavaliers put the club eight points clear in second spot.
Fourth spot on the League's premier grade seems to be a battle between Notting Hill Brandon Park and the Cavaliers.
