16 Jan, 2012 02:10 AM
THE Young Cricketers' Development Program is hosting an information night for cricketers aged under 16 interested in playing in an overseas tour during the April school holidays.

The program wants to take a touring side to Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Brunei based around competing in the international under-16 cricket tournament in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The tournament could include teams from England, New Zealand, India, Sri Lanka and South Africa and an American team.

The tour would end with matches in one of Sri Lanka's stadiums that hosted matches at the previous World Cup.

Program leader Vernon Tissera said the information night would be held at Springvale South Cricket Club, Harold Road, on January 30. For more information call Tissera on 0403298626.
