WHAT TRANSPORT USERS WANT

* Full feasibility study for 'Rowville Rail' railway link from Huntingdale station to Rowville, including stations at Monash University, Mulgrave, Waverley Park.

* Bus priority measures along Springvale Road.

* Caulfield-Dandenong rail triplication with grade-separation at level crossings, such as Clayton.

* Tram between Monash University's Clayton and Caulfield campuses via Dandenong Road.

WHAT TRANSPORT USERS GOT

* Extension of Warrigal Road SmartBus route to Altona. To start early 2009.

* Extension of Springvale Road SmartBus route to Airport West. To start early 2010.

* Extra trains; new six-carriage trains to be rolled onto the network from late 2009.

* Grade separation for Springvale Road level crossing, Nunawading. To be completed in 2010.

* 5 per cent fares tax from 2012.
