Essex Heights Primary School pupils got a head start on the Premier's Reading Challenge last Tuesday when author and challenge ambassador Terry Denton and Children and Early Childhood Development Minister Maxine Morand visited the school. The challenge, now in its fifth year, requires prep, grade 1 and year 2 pupils to read or "experience" 30 books by August 31. Students in years 3-10 have to read 15 books.
