Theatre project gives youth chance to act out dreams

19 Oct, 2009 10:43 AM
YOUNG people will have the chance to stage a live theatre production thanks to a council scheme.

Monash Youth and Family Services has invited people aged 14-25, who live, study, work or recreate in Monash, to take part in a 10-month project that will

provide them with the confidence, knowledge and skills to make informed decisions about their direction in life.

The Youth Theatre Project, which starts on Wednesday,

was designed to incorporate life skills activities in a fun, creative and safe environment after MYFS consulted with 107 young people from the Chadstone and Ashwood area and found a high level of interest in both theatre projects and life skills programs.

Application forms are available on the MYFS website at www.myfs.org.au

Details: Ben Heard, on benh@monash.vic.gov.au or 9541 3130.
