IN an attempt to ease the housing crisis, Cr Jieh-Yung Lo has encouraged residents to join him and Monash Mayor Paul Klisaris in a sleep-out for the homeless. They will sleep rough for a night to gain some understanding of what homeless people go through. The sleep-out will begin with a free barbecue at 9pm on September 18, at Central Reserve, Glen Waverley. The pair have also encouraged residents to donate to the Salvation Army's Red Shield Appeal at www.salvos.org.au or 137258.
