Glenallen School students finished second in their category at the Australian Children's Music Foundation songwriting competition this month. Their song Two Friends was a project borne from Liam Abery's (pictured right) love of music. Liam asked student Caitlyn Alger to collaborate with him on a duet, and the project was completed under the guidance of music therapist Cassandra Liston. Ms Liston said music therapy at the Glen Waverley special school could help with the students' communication, motor, sensory and psychosocial needs in a fun setting. Picture: Marco De Luca
