Hawthorn defender Rick Ladson and Monash Mayor Paul Klisaris last week kicked off a free energy-saving light globe scheme. The program, offered by Monash Council and Low Energy Supplies and Services, provides residents with the globes, which are installed free of charge and which could save householders about $100 per year for 15 years - the average life of the energy-saving globes.
