Job seekers get hand

26 Jan, 2009 01:15 PM
JOB seekers will get a helping hand from the Monash Public Library Service's free skill-building workshops.

The workshops will cover different facets of finding a new career, including how to search for the right job, interview skills and resume-writing.

Guests include Warren Frehse - author of Manage Your Own Career: Reinvent Your Job; Reinvent Yourself - who will run a resume-writing workshop.

Monash Public Library Service community information and arts manager, Anne-Maree Pfabe, said it was thrilling to host speakers who were experts in their field

and she believed the workshops would be a tremendous resource.

"Finding a new job can be difficult and these workshops will provide some excellent advice on how to stand out from the crowd when seeking new employment," she said.

The workshops are on February 3-10. Details: www.monlib.vic.gov.au
