Fire doused in Clayton

22 Jan, 2012 08:15 PM
A FIRE broke out at a cabinet-window manufacturer in Clayton last Thursday afternoon.

The Metropolitan Fire Brigade was called to the business in University Place about 2pm after a fire broke out in a spraying booth.

MFB spokesman David Jarwood said that 14 fire trucks and 35 firefighters were sent to the scene due to the initial intensity of the fire.

But by 2.30pm, the fire had been extinguished. "The whole thing was out in less than 20 minutes," Mr Jarwood said.
