Oakleigh MP Ann Barker and Australian Car Wash Association business manager Peter Maine met at an Oakleigh car wash this month to talk water saving.
The association received a $244,000 grant from the State Government's Smart Water fund to develop a framework to test car wash technology for water efficiency and recycling.
The grant was part of a $5 million handout to 26 water-saving projects in Victoria.
