Clayton Road fatality

A MAN has died after the van he was driving on Clayton Road collided with a truck.

The man was driving north on Clayton Road at about 11.35am when he crossed to the wrong side of the street and collided with a truck travelling in the other direction. He died at the scene.

The driver of the truck, a 66-year-old Narre Warren man, escaped with minor injuries and is assisting police with their inquiries.

Detectives from the major collision investigation unit are investigating the incident and are appealing for witnesses to contact Crime Stoppers on on 1800 333 000.
