Books ease worry

Hospitals will be a less intimidating environment for young patients thanks to two children's books launched at Monash Medical Centre. On July 7, author and former Southern Health play therapist Tracey Clinch launched Lisa's Story and Alexander's Story which were designed as a learning tool about renal conditions and treatments. Ms Clinch, pictured with two young MMC patients, believes the books will help children and families gain insight and confidence in coming to terms with renal conditions.
