GOLDEN songstress Gabriella Cilmi's name was on everyone's lips as she made a stop at her former school Sacred Heart Girls' College in Oakleigh last Wednesday.
Cilmi, 17, who won six gongs at the Aria Awards this month, said the return was "really weird".
"The younger kids were excited, but the people in my year level didn't really care that much. I forgot I wasn't going there any more. It felt normal to be at assembly, but my life is so different now."
Cilmi is still on cloud nine following her clean sweep at the Arias. Cilmi took the first two gongs of the evening for Breakthrough Album and Breakthrough Single of the Year, before going on to win Single of the Year, Best Female Artist, Best Pop Release and Highest-Selling Single.
"I wasn't expecting that, I was hoping to be nominated. I got nominated for six and it's a lot of pressure to win six."
For Cilmi, it's back to London to continue her UK and European tour, with stops in Paris and Germany. She will return to Australia for Homebake and a performance at The Forum in Melbourne in December.
