A VERMONT South man who died in a car crash in Mulgrave last week has been remembered by friends and family as a man who "achieved so much" and "touched so many people's lives".
Michael White, 22, died last Tuesday after the car he was driving lost control and hit a tree as he was exiting the Monash Freeway at Ferntree Gully Road just before 8pm.
Police spokeswoman Senior Constable Karla Dennis said the crash was being investigated and a coroner's report prepared.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesman said Mr White, the car's sole occupant, had died at the scene.
In death notices published last week in a metropolitan newspaper, Mr White's parents, Ron and Sue, said their son's amazing life had been cut too short.
"You had already achieved so much and touched so many people's lives. Our tears and sadness can be wiped away but the love and heartache will stay forever."
Employees at Target, Glen Waverley, said: "We'll miss your guns and your six meals a day, but most of all we'll miss your smile and your loyal friendship"
Friend Dylan Couper paid tribute to Mr White on his Facebook page, saying he had been "like a brother to me".
Mr White is survived by his parents and two brothers, Nicholas and Lachlan.
